Technical Assistance:
Discussed Foster Care procedures and Emergency Medical Auhorization. You will talk to the Social Worker for the i nformation. Also discussed the Information for Parents form on the DSS Web site.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted beginning at 1:20 and ending at 2:45. There were 2 children in care, ages 17 months and 14 months. Children were resting in cribs during the inspection and one child went home. Reviewed the files for the two children - see violation notice. Reviewed the attendance sheet and posted information. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-A
Description: Based on interview with the provider, it was determined that emergency escape drills are not up to date. Evidence: There was no emergency escape drill done in January.

Plan of Correction: Provider will do an emergency escape drill every month, a shelter in place drill two times a year, and for subsidy one lockdown drill a year.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-70-A
Description: Based on a review of the records for the two enrolled children, it was determined that the records were not complete. Evidence: Neither child's file contained the Information for parents agreement form.

Plan of Correction: The Provider will find the form on the DSS website and use it for all enrolled children.
