An announced initial visit was conducted today between the hours of 9:30am through 11:15am with the provider on site. There were 2 children (6 points) with the provider. A sample of 4 children's files and 2 staff/household member's files were reviewed. The children were engaged in the following: toy play, puzzlies and listening to music. Interactions between the children and provider were positive. The physical space, emergency supplies, evacuation drills, attendance records, medications and the Emergency Preparedness Plan were reviewed. The site was clean, organized and contained an abundant supply of developmentally appropriate materials. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-C-1-c Description: Based on record review, the provider did not obtain the results for the central registry for a household member prior to the initial inspection.
1. Household Member #1 lives in the house and the provider has not received the results of the central registry prior to this inspection.
2. The provider stated the central registry request has been sent three times for household member#1, but has not received it back with the results as of today.
Plan of Correction: I will call and follow up with the central registry workers and find out the status. I will send the results to you once I receive it.
