An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on February 13 2019 between 1:00pm and 2:10pm. There were 7 children in the direct care of 2 staff members. Children were observed having circle time, discussing the current weather, reading a story, creating an art project using themes from the story, creating a Valentine's Day project, and building. The family day home is clean and organized. There are plenty of materials for the children to utilize. Areas of non-compliance are listed on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-280 Description: Based on observation, the provider did not keep cleaning agents inaccessible to children. Evidence: Cleaning wipes were in an unlocked cabinet on the lowest shelf. Plan of Correction: Will move the wipes up higher.
Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-1-c Description: Based on record review, 1 of 3 staffing records reviewed did not have documentation that a central registry check was completed before five years since the dates of the last check. Evidence: Staff #3 record does not contain documentation of a central registry check. A current central registry document was viewed at the previous inspection dated September 21 2018, but the document could not be located during the inspection. Plan of Correction: I will redo the check.
