An unannounced Renewal inspection was conducted this date. A total of 10 children (24pts)with Provider and 2 assistants were on site today. When the inspector arrived this morning, the children were in two groups. One group which consisted of the older children were in circle time and the younger children were playing freely on the floor with the play kitchen set. A nice transition was observed from circle time to table top activities that included tracing letters and coloring giraffes. All the children then participated in a "Simon Says" activity which included some gross motor activity. Hand washing observed with all children prior to lunch being served. Lunch today was macaroni and cheese, fresh fruit and milk to drink. Ample amounts for second helpings if requested. Observation of the cribs, diapering area, program area and remainder of the house was made. A total of 8 children's records and all staff( 3) and 1 household record reviewed. No medications at this time and no identified food allergies. Previous violations reviewed from the last inspection, corrective actions were verified. This inspection began at 9am and ended at 11:45am. Thank you for your cooperation today. Please email me at: lisa.hudson@dss.virginia.gov
