Technical assistance was provided on keeping paperwork information consistant.

Comments:
A mandatory unannounced inspection was conducted today. The inspection started at 8:45am and concluded at 11:40pm. There were 8 children (20 points) present with 2 care givers. The physical physical plant, menu's, children's files, staff files, household file's, evacuation drills, attendance files and emergency plans and supplies were reviewed and inspected. The children were observed playing with books, balls, blocks and floor toys. The were also observed during hand washing and eating morning snack which consisted of apples, yogurt and milk. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-320-G
Description: Based upon documentation review and interview, the provider failed to ensure that wood burning fireplaces and associated chimneys are inspected annually by a knowledgeable inspector to verify that the devices are properly installed, maintained and cleaned as needed. Documentation of the inspection and cleaning shall be maintained by the provider. Evidence: The provider could not provide documentation of an annual inspection of the fireplace and chimney inspection.

Plan of Correction: I will call this afternoon and have them come out and have the inspection done.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-350-E
Description: Based on the water temperature taken, the hot water taps available to children were not maintained within the range of 105 degrees F and 120 degrees F. Evidence: On 3/5/19 when the inspector tested the hot water taps twice, they registers 137 degrees F and 140 degrees F.

Plan of Correction: I will call the plumber today and have him come and adjust the water tank.
