Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted today. The inspection started at 8:45am and ended at 11:40 am., to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 8 children (20 points) present with 2 caregivers. The physical space, attendance records, handwashing/diapering procedures, food service area, emergency supplies and drills, injury reports, children's records and caregiver records were reviewed. Ratios were in compliance. Required documents were posted. Hazardous substances were discussed. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. If you have any question, please contact me at 571.423.6392 or e-mail me at Tanya.Johnson1@dss.virginia.gov.
