Technical Assistance:
Provided consultation on protective surfacing under swings, and the use of rubber mats. Provided consultation on modification of license for an age group change and/or a change of address.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 10:35 - 11:45 am with the provider. There were four children in care, ranging from three years to five years of age, for a total of eight points. The children were observed coloring, playing on the indoor playground equipment, and engaged in free play with kitchen items, stuffed animals, trucks, dolls and more. Four children's files and three caregiver/household member files were reviewed and in compliance. Required information was posted. The emergency drill log was reviewed. The provider is not Medication Administration Training (MAT) certified and can only administer over the counter medications to children in care. Description: Based on a review of the emergency drill log, and an interview with the provider, it was determined that shelter in place procedures were not practiced twice per year. Evidence: the last shelter in place drill was conducted on 3/1/18.

Plan of Correction: Will conduct a shelter in place drill this month.
