- Technical Assistance:
Obtaining child protective services central registry search for household members who turn 14 years old was discussed.
An unannounced, mandated renewal inspection was conducted today. The inspector arrived at 8:15 AM an departed at 10:15 AM. Seven children, totaling 16 points were in care with two caregivers. Four caregiver/household member records and five children's records were reviewed. No children's injuries were reported. Medication is not administered to children in care. The provider and assistant have exceeded annual training requirements. An exit meeting was conducted with the provider prior to closure of the inspection.
Standard #: 63.2-1721.1-B-2 Description: Based upon review of household records, the provider has not ensured that all adult household members have obtained results of fingerprinting. Evidence: The provider was unable to provide results of a fingerprint check for household member 4. Plan of Correction: The provider responded with the following: Household member 4 obtained fingerprinting for her place of employ and provider did not understand that additional finger printing would be required by family day home regulations. Household member 4 will obtain another fingerprint check.
