Technical assistance was provided regarding documentation of lockdown drills.
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 3/7/2019 from 10:45am to 1:30pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. At the beginning of the inspection a total of 8 children were present with the provider. The children were observed playing with play dough, washing hands in preparation for lunch, eating lunch, and going down for nap. Programming, menus, emergency procedures, the first aid kit, the provider's record and 6 children?s records were reviewed. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-160-B Description: Based on record review, the provider did not maintain a written hard copy of daily attendance that also documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs. Evidence: 1. The daily attendance sheet for today, 3/7/2019, was reviewed and Child #4, Child #5, and Child #6 were signed in but arrival times were not documented. 2. There were 8 children receiving care at the beginning of the inspection (10:45am). Child #1, Child #2, Child #3, Child #7, and Child #8 were not signed in. Plan of Correction: I will print another different form where I can put the enter and exit of each child.
