An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted from 10:15am to 11:30am. There were 10 children (25 points) in care of 2 caregivers. The children were observed watching an alphabet video, using the bathroom and playing outside. 5 children's, 2 caregiver's and 2 household member's records were reviewed. There were no medications on site. A walk through of the house and outside area used by the children was conducted, the emergency plan and drill records were reviewed. Areas of non compliance are listed in the violation notice. For any questions regarding this inspection, please contact me at email@example.com or 571-835-4718.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-240-A Description: Based on observation, areas outside the family day home were not maintained in a safe condition. Evidence: A broken vent pipe was found on the wall in the backyard, outside where the children were playing. The broken vent pipe had sharp and jagged edges exposed, posing an injury hazard to the children. Plan of Correction: I will get this fixed by a contractor and cover it until it has been fixed.
