An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. The provider and two assistant caregivers were caring for 9 children, totaling 28 points. Children's records, adult health records, caregiver records, background checks, caregiver training, the physical plant, administrative documents, emergency preparedness, and children's nutrition were inspected today. It was reported to the Inspector that no children's medications were on site today. This inspection took place in the middle of the day. All children were napping during this inspection. The children had been served chicken nuggets, green beans, apples, and milk for lunch today. This inspection was completed between approximately 11:15am and 1:10pm. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-920 Description: Based on a review of administrative documents, it was determined that the provider has not updated the menu as required. Evidence: The provider did not serve the lunch foods listed on the posted menu for today. The provider did not update the menu to reflect these changes. Plan of Correction: I will remember to update the menu the day before the changes.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-120-B Description: Based on a review of caregiver records, it was determined that the file for assistant caregiver B is not complete. Evidence: The file for assistant caregiver B does not include emergency contact information. Plan of Correction: I will update the file today.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-180-A Description: Based on a review of health records, it was determined that the provider does not have documentation of all required TB Health Screenings. Evidence: There is no documentation of a completed Health Screening for one adult household member. Plan of Correction: I will make sure he gets his screening done tomorrow. I will send the documentation to the Inspector.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-240-A Description: Based on observations, it was determined that one piece of equipment has not been maintained in a clean, operable condition. Evidence: The diaper changing pad has ripped in a couple of places. Plan of Correction: I will buy a new changing pad this weekend.
