Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance was provided regarding the cameras and monitoring system in place for the sleeping children.

Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 9:30am-11:00am. There were 10 children (27 points) supervised by 3 direct caregivers. The home, staff records, children?s records, 2household member?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed engaging freely. singing and eating snack. Diapering procedures were also observed. There was an abundance of books, toys, and materials, which were found to be developmentally appropriate for the children in care at the time of inspection. Positive interaction between caregivers and children was also observed. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Thank you for your cooperation during this inspection. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-780-B
Description: Based on review of 11 children's records, 4 do not have parental updates to emergency contacts. Evidence: Children #2, 5, 6, & 7 do not have documentation of parental updates to emergency contacts.

Plan of Correction: I will have the parents review the information and have them do it every year.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-100-B
Description: Based on review of 11 children's records, 1 record did not include a physical. Evidence: Child #4 did not have documentation of a physical prior to child's first day of attendance.

Plan of Correction: I will get a copy of the physical and will not let children start, until I have the physical.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-90-C
Description: Based on review of 11 children's records, 3 are not complete. Evidence: Children #1,2 and 3 do not have documentation of updated immunizations every 6 months for children under the age of 2 years old. Last updated immunization records are 4/18, 10/17 and 8/18 respectively.

Plan of Correction: I will get a copy of their updated records and review the records monthly.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-690-E
Description: Based on observation, soiled diapers and wipes are not being disposed of in way that neither the hand or soiled diaper touches the exterior surface of the disposal can. Evidence: The top of the disposal can located outside, has a swing lid, that either the hand or bag holding the soiled diaper touches the lid.

Plan of Correction: I can get a new can for the outside, like I have inside.
