Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from approximately 10:15am to 11:35am. 4 children (13pts) were present with 1 provider. The physical space, caregiver/household member records, 3 children's records, cribs, diaper changing table, pet records and required posted documents were reviewed. Children were observed interacting with the provider, playing with balls, listening to story time and washing hands to prepare for snack. Snack today was fresh fruit. Interactions between the provider and children were positive. The space was well organized and contained an abundance of age appropriate materials. The provider stated she is preparing for her annual family festival where all children and their families are invited for an egg hunt, animal petting area and other various activities. Areas on non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. For questions regarding this inspection, please contact stephanie.salvatori@dss.virginia.gov.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-C
Description: Based on interview with provider and record review, documentation for emergency evacuations was not available for review. . Evidence: The provider stated she has been up to date with evacuation drills, and has conducted the drills for the last 2 months to include the parents, but cannot find the documentation. During the previous inspection, dated 11/13/2018, the Licensing Inspector reviewed the evacuation logs up to that date. The documentation for previous months in 2018 is missing as well. The provider stated the documentation has been misplaced and she cannot find it.

Plan of Correction: I will look for the record and ask parents as well. I will email it to you once I find it.
