Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted this date. A total of 9 children present (25pts) with Provider and 1 assistant on site. The children were all napping when the inspector arrived. Staff were observed patting children on the back to encourage sleep. Walk thru of the programming area, bathroom and food preparation area was made. No medications on site. A total of 9 children records were reviewed. An improvement noted regarding recordation and organization. Staff records were reviewed regarding current TB risk assessments and training. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-780-B
Description: Based on child record review, annual reviews of emergency contacts were not completed for 2 of the 9 records reviewed. Evidence: Child #7 and #8's last documented review of emergency contacts was in February 2018.

Plan of Correction: I will have these parents review this information today at pick up.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-140-B-3
Description: Based on review of staff records, current CPR and First Aid certification was not maintained. Evidence: Staff #1 is required to have CPR and First Aid certification. This certification on file expired in August 2018.

Plan of Correction: I will obtain CPR and First Aid certification within this month.

Standard #: 22VAC40-80-120-E-2
Description: Based on observation of the family day home, a required posting was not found. Evidence: The most recent findings of the last licensing inspection in July 2018 was not posted as required.

Plan of Correction: I will post this inspection today.
