Health and Safety inspection was conducted to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 9 children in care with the provider and one assistant. Children present ranged in age from 5months to four years old. Children were observed in teacher and self-directed activities. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-400-B-7 Description: Based on review of policies and interview the provider failed to provide continuity of procedures. Evidence: When asked to review the family day home's procedure to ensure continuity of operation during an emergency the provider stated that she did not have one. Plan of Correction: The provider will create a procedure to be followed in the event of an emergency to ensure continuity of operations.
