An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. The provider and one assistant caregiver were caring for 5 children, totaling 15 points. Children's records, background checks, health records, administrative documents, emergency preparedness items, the physical plant, and the care of children were inspected today. The provider reported that no children's medications were on site today. The children were observed finishing morning snack of bananas and milk, playing outside, and listening to music. The children were to be served lentils, brown rice, zucchini, oranges, and milk for lunch later today. This inspection was completed between approximately 9:45am and 11:00am. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-50-A Description: Based on a review of administrative records, it was determined that the provider has not maintained a record of children in attendance daily. Evidence: The provider did not document the daily attendance for 4/16/19 and 4/17/19. In addition, upon arrival the Inspector observed 5 children in care but the attendance for today was not documented. Plan of Correction: The attendance was immediately documented during the inspection.
