Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 4/18/19 from 11:40am until 12:45pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. At the time of entrance, there were 6 children in care, for a total of 9 points, with the provider and one assistant. A sample of 6 children's records and 3 provider/assistant/household member records were reviewed. Children were observed playing outside, eating lunch and transitioning to nap time. Hand washing, lunch service and table sanitizing procedures were also observed. First aid and emergency supplies, the emergency preparedness plan, documentation of emergency practice drills, one injury report and required postings were reviewed. The provider does not administer medication to children in care. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
