An unannounced renewal study was conducted from 8:45 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. There were seven children in care with the provider and one assistant ages, 11 months, 18 months, 2 years, 2 years, 2 years, 3 years, and 4 years for a total of 17 points. The children were observed participating in free play. Breakfast served today is french toast, banana, and milk. Six children's records were reviewed and in compliance. The provider, one assistant and two household member records were reviewed and in compliance. There are reportedly no medications being administered to children in the family day home at this time. The most recent emergency escape drill was conducted 04/16/2019 and the most recent shelter in place drill was conducted 03/01/2019. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-480-E Description: Based on observation of the family day home it was determined that not all equipment used by children was free of hazards such as sharp edges. Evidence: The bottom platform of the activity saucer is cracked leaving sharp edges exposed. Plan of Correction: The provider removed the equipment during the inspection.
