63.2 Licensure and Registration Procedures
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted beginning at 1:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. There were nine children in care ranging in age from nine months to four years of age for a total of 24 points under the care and supervision of three staff. Children were napping during the inspection. Childcare areas were observed. Four children's records and one new staff record was reviewed. Emergency drills are up to date. Standard #: 63.2-1720.1-B-2 Description: Based on review of documentation, the provider failed to ensure national fingerprint background checks were conducted by the first day of employment. Evidence: Staff #3, start date 1/22/019, fingerprint background check was dated 2/12/2019. Plan of Correction: In the future, any new staff member will have fingerprint background checks before they begin employment.
