Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today, April 26, 2019 to determine the provider's compliance with Family Day Home Licensing Standards. The Inspector arrived at 10:12 am and concluded the inspection at 12:15 pm. Upon the inspector's arrival, six children were in care with one caregiver. Later an additional child arrived for a total of seven children and a value of fifteen points. Children were observed playing with blocks, dinosaurs and other toys. Children had circle time where one child requested to be the teacher. The child read a story and lead the other children in a prayer and a song. Per the children's request, the inspector read the story "Pete the Cat" to them. All areas used for child care were inspected. Per the provider, the rear deck is not used by children in care. The family day home has age appropriate materials and equipment. The provider interacted with the children in a positive manner. The home's first aid kit and non-medical emergency supplies were inspected and found complete. The provider had all required information posted. Today's lunch consisted of hotdogs, corn, applesauce and milk. The inspector interacted with the provider and children in care. Four caregiver/ household member records and eight children's records were reviewed. The provider has current CPR and First. Per the provider, medication is not administered. Transportation is only being provided for occasional field trips. The most recent evacuation drill was conducted on 03/14/2019.
