An unannounced initial inspection was conducted on April 25 2019 between 8:45am and 10:20am. There were 3 children (8 points) in the direct care of the provider. Children were observed participating with arts and crafts, being consoled, and watching a video. The home is clean, organized, and offers an abundance of materials for the children to utilize. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-800-A Description: Based on observation, the family day home did not have a written emergency preparedness and response plan that could be reviewed. Evidence: The provider stated that the paperwork was completed and shared with families. The document could not be located at the time of inspection. Plan of Correction: I will find it out or fill out a new one and send it to the licensing inspector.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B Description: Based on record review, 1 of 5 children's records reviewed did not contain all of the required information. Evidence: Child #2 record did not have 2 full emergency contacts listed. Plan of Correction: I will have the parents fill those out completely.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-340-C Description: Based on direct observation, the bathroom did not contain paper towels. Plan of Correction: I will put paper towels in the bathroom.
