An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. The provider was caring for 3 children, totaling 6 points. Children's records, caregiver training records, the physical plant, children's nutrition, emergency preparedness items, and the overall care of children were inspected today. The provider reported that no children's medications were on site today. The children were observed playing with toys, engaging in creative play, and singing songs. The children were to be served lentils, rice, broccoli, bananas, and milk for lunch today. The provider was observed calmly and appropriately engaging with children who were actively arguing over toys. This inspection was completed between approximately 10:00 am and 11:20am. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-D Description: Based on a review of emergency drill documentation, it was determined that the provider did not maintain the record of all drills for one year. Evidence: The provider did not maintain the 2018 record to show the completion of all evacuation drills and shelter-in-place drills. Plan of Correction: I will remember to keep my 2019 record for at least one year.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B Description: Based on a review of children's records, it was determined that one record was not complete. Evidence: Child record B does not include the full name for one emergency contact person. Plan of Correction: I will ask the parent for the missing information.
