An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today, April 30, 2019 to determine the provider's compliance with family day home licensing standards. The inspection was initiated at 3:45 pm and concluded at 5:10 pm. Upon the inspector's arrival, six children were in care with one provider for a total of sixteen points. The provider and children were preparing to go outside. Bathroom breaks and diapering was conducted along with hand washing. The provider and children played with balls, on the equipment and in the playhouse. The provider interacted in a positive and nurturing manner with children in care. The provider had labeled individual cups of water for each child in a cooler outside. The provider had the following posted: menu, emergency phone numbers, last inspection notice, attendance sheets, daily schedule, evacuation procedures/map and the license. Today's lunch consisted of vienna sausage, crackers, pears, strawberries and milk. The first aid kit and non-medical emergency supplies were checked and found complete. All areas used for child care were inspected. The pool and hot tub were inspected and found locked. The inspector interacted with children in care and the caregiver. An evacuation drill was documented on 04/26/2019 and the two required shelter-in-place drills for 2018 were completed on 03/19/2018 and 09/17/2018. Six children's records and the provider's record were reviewed. One household members record was also reviewed. Currently no medications are being administered.
