Technical assistance today included record keeping and training requirements.

Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 9:45 - 11:15 am. There were two children present with the provider for 4 points. I observed children working with puzzles, coloring, practicing letters and numbers; and playing games while speaking in conversational Spanish. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-800-A
Description: Based on a review of records today, the family day home did not have a complete written emergency plan that addresses all required scenarios. Evidence: The current available plan is a map that doesn't include all requirements.

Plan of Correction: I will complete the form.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-140-B-3
Description: Based on a review of records and staff confirmation today, the provider did not have current certification in CPR as appropriate Evidence: Even though the provider completd an on-line curriculum in CPR, it did not include a physical demonstration of the skill as required.

Plan of Correction: I will take the in -person CPR training.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-210-B
Description: Based on a review of records and staff confirmation, the provider have documentation of 16 hours of training as required. Evidence: The provider took 8 hours of training.

Plan of Correction: I will take more training.
