Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 1:30pm-2:50pm. A total of 8 children [ totaling 18 points] were present with 2 caregivers. Observations were conducted during transitions from naptime, during crafts activities, and infant diapering. A sample of 4 children's records, 2 caregiver records, emergency drills, and other documents were reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are documented on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-570-A
Description: Based on observations, the provider did not ensure that a caregiver does not exceed 16 points. Evidence: Upon the inspector's arrival to the family day home, 8 children - totaling 18 points - were present with one caregiver [Caregiver #2] for at least 30 minutes.

Plan of Correction: I will take my grandchildren with me on errands in the future.
