Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted today from 1:30pm-2:50pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. 8 children [18 points] were present with 2 caregivers. A sample of 4 children's records, 2 caregiver records, drills and other documents were reviewed. Children were observed during transitions from naptime and crafts. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Please contact me if you have any questions at Ivaco.Clarke@dss.virginia.gov or 571-835-5505.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-160-B
Description: Based on records reviewed, departures for each child as it occurs were not recorded daily. Evidence: Upon inspector arrival, 9 children were recorded as present on the daily attendance; however, 8 children were observed in care at that moment. Caregiver #2 stated that Child #9 had departed earlier during the day to attend school.

Plan of Correction: I will make sure the attendance is updated daily.
