An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 11:00am-1:15pm. A total of 11 children [35 points] were present with 3 caregivers. Children were observed during storytime, handwashing, lunch, and transitions to naptime. Infant feeding and diapering were also observed. A sample of 4 children's records, 2 staff records, emergency drills, and other documents were reviewed. The outdoor play area was also inspected. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-170-B Description: Based on records reviewed, tuberculosis screenings for 1 out of 2 caregivers were not completed within 30 days of employment. Evidence: The tuberculosis screening for Caregiver #2 [date of employment: 4/19/2019] was obtained on 8/17/2018. Plan of Correction: I will have the caregiver obtain a new screening.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-500-E Description: Based on observations, a sandbox was not covered when not in use. Evidence: A sandbox that was not in use during the inspection was not covered. Plan of Correction: I will obtain a cover.
