Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed on 05/02/2019. There were 11 children, ages 11 months-5 years, totaling 21 points in the care of 1 provider and 2 assistant caregivers. The inspector reviewed 5 children's records, 1 provider record and 2 assistant caregiver's records during the inspection. The provider stated that medication is not administered. The children were observed in the following activities: free/choice play and having a morning snack. Proper diapering procedures were also observed during the inspection. The inspector reviewed the emergency preparedness plans and the emergency supplies during the inspection. The inspector discussed recalled products with the provider. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-920
Description: Based on observations and discussion, the provider failed to ensure that when meals or snacks are provided by the family day home, the menu for the current one-week period shall be dated and posted in an area accessible to parents. Evidence: There was not a menu posted for the current week. The posted menu was dated April 1-5.

Plan of Correction: The provider will post the menu.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-280
Description: Based on observations and discussion, the provider failed to ensure that potentially poisonous substances materials and supplies such as, but not limited to, cleaning agents, disinfectants, shall be stored away from food in areas inaccessible to children. Evidence: There were two containers of Clorox Wipes and one spray bottle of Lysol on top of the refrigerator directly beside of where the cereal was also stored.

Plan of Correction: The cleaning materials were moved during the inspection.
