Discussed tummy time and other age appropriate activities for infants
An unannounced mandated inspection was conducted today from 10:30am to 12:30 pm. There were 4 children present (16 points) with 2 caregivers. Children were observed having tummy time, playing in a bouncy, being bottle fed, and building with , and watching Paw Patrol. Reviewed 3 children's files, 2 staff files, 3 resident files, menus, attendance, first aid kit, physical plant. Violations of the Standards are recorded on the Violation Notice. Evidence: Child#1 (enrollment date 5/6/19) was missing Doctor's address and phone number; Medical insurance and Policy number; Parent's sign acknowledgment; Proof of identity. Child#2 (enrollment date 4/3/19) was missing Doctor's name, address and ohone number; 2 emergency contact information; Medical Insurance name and Policy number. Evidence: There were 3 infants present during this inspection. The homes has one bouncy seat, one swing, and 5 manipulative for Infants. Upon arrival at 10:30am, Child#1 and Child#2 were observed in car seats. Plan of Correction: I will have to buy more, and I also have more in storage that I will have to get
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-480-B Description: Based on observation, equipment used by a child shall be appropriate to the age, size, ability, and interest of the child. Evidence: Child#3 (10/5/18) was observed alone laying on a couch. Observed the Provider and Assistant walk away twice, leaving the child alone on the couch. Plan of Correction: This was corrected at time of inspection by placing the child on the floor for tummy time.
