Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. There were 9 children and 1 resident child in care with the provider and one assistant ages, 6 months, 11 months, 20 months, 23 months, 2 years, 2 years, 2 years, 3 years, 3 years, and 3 years for a total of 26 points. The children were observed finishing lunch and preparing for nap. Lunch served today is chicken, rice, green beans. tomato, and milk. Nine children's records were reviewed and in compliance. The provider and one assistant records were reviewed and in compliance. The most recent emergency escape drill was conducted 04/29/2019 and the most recent shelter in place drill was conducted 03/06/2019. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-540-A
Description: Based on observation of the family day home it was determined that children were not always securely fastened with safety straps while using high chairs. Evidence: The Licensing Inspector (LI) observed child A, child B, child C, child D, and child E sitting in high chairs and were not fastened using the safety straps.

Plan of Correction: All children will be fastened with safety straps while using any infant seats to include high chairs, infant carrier seats, swings, strollers, and feeding or activity tables.
