Mesh sided play cribs may only be used while the child is awake-any time a child falls asleep a designated crib must be used. Written attendance should accurately reflect who is actually present throughout the day.

An unannounced monitoring visit was conducted today. Eight children were present with two caregivers for twenty six points which is within ratios for supervision. Observed two children sleeping, free play in high chairs with materials and coloring as well as transition into the play room in preparation to go outside. Both caregivers present have current first aid and CPR certification. Space is well equipped and maintained. Drills and the written emergency plan are current. Reviewed one newly enrolled child's file and it was complete. All caregivers background checks are current. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-540-A Description: Based on observation, 4 of 5 occupied high chairs were not used with the safety strap.
