Technical Assistance:
Discussion was held on the topics of current enrollment, current staffing, and what documentation is required for guest that are visiting. Currently there are no requirements for guests, where the Family Day Home is not their legal primary residence.

Comments:
The following inspection took place between the hours of 10:30 am through 1 pm. Today, I met with the Provider on site at the Family Day Home (FDH) located in Herndon, Virginia. At the start of this unannounced monitoring inspection there were a total of 5 children (14 points) with 1 caregiver. A total of 5 children?s files, 1 staff file, and 7 household member?s files were reviewed. The children were engaged in the following: block play, nap time, infant sleeping, games, puzzles, lunch, and other organized activities. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-A
Description: Based on review and interview, the emergency evacuation (fire drill) procedures were not practiced on a monthly basis with the children in care. Evidence - 1. On the date of inspection (05/08/2019), it was determined that the fire drill for the month of April was not conducted. 2. The Provider stated (during an interview conducted on the date of inspection that she had missed the drill for April.

Plan of Correction: All drill shall be conducted as needed in order to maintain compliance.
