Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance today included physical environment and record keeping, and use of upstairs restroom.

An inspection took place today from 10:45 am - 12 pm at the provider's new address at 2840 Pine Spring Road, Falls Church 22042. No children were in care today. The living room area has been set up to be an open, inviting area for young children with a variety of age appropriate activities available. All care will take place on the first level, except for bathrooming. Records were well-organized. If you have any questions, please contact me at

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B
Description: Based on a review of records today, there were some required items that were not present. Evidence: There was incomplete information for the second emergency contact's address and parent's employer's information for Child # 1. There was no signed Notice of Liability Insurance form available for Child # 1.

Plan of Correction: I will get this information from the parents.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-240-A
Description: Based on observation during today's inspection, there were some areas that were not maintained in a safe condition. Evidence: In the living room playroom area, there were some missing foam floor tile letters that could pose a tripping hazard, and a small missing piece of wood floor tile in the area between the play area and entrance. The back porch area had areas of stored items.

Plan of Correction: I will change the whole set or find one letter to fill in the floor space. We will cover the wooden tile with the rug or tape until it is fixed. A storage shed was ordered for our backyard storage and children will use the public playground in neighborhood.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-280
Description: Based on observation during today's inspection, there were some areas where potentially hazardous items are not made inaccessible. Evidence: In the kitchen area, there were no locks on the cabinets where hazardous items were stored. In the children's bathroom, there were no locks to the closet on the door where personal drugstore items were stored.

Plan of Correction: My daughter and I will fix the closet, and my son will put in the latches on the cabinet doors and drawers.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-430-C
Description: Based on observation, there was no protective barrier installed at the bottom of the stairs today. Evidence: Although the gate is present, it has not yet been put securely into the wall.

Plan of Correction: My son will install the gate by Monday.

A compliance history is in no way a rating for a facility.

The online compliance history includes only information after July 1, 2003. In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.

Virginia Quality is a voluntary quality rating and improvement system for early care and education facilities serving children ages birth through pre-K. Eligible child care facilities must be fully licensed, licensed exempt and a VDSS subsidy vendor, or a voluntary registered day home and a VDSS subsidy vendor. Only programs enrolled in Virginia Quality will display a rating. Virginia Quality contact information for your region is available at the following link Regional Contacts.
