54.1-3408 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 10:00 - 11:30 am with the provider and her assistant. There were 11 children in care, ranging from six months to five years of age, for a total of 28 points. The children were observed having free play, completing an art project, and having circle time. Four children's records and three caregiver/household member records were reviewed and in compliance. Required information was posted. The emergency drill log was reviewed and in compliance. The provider is not Medication Administration Training (MAT) certified and cannot administer medications to children in care.
