Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 5/29/2019 from 1:40 p.m. to 3:40 p.m. to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 5 children present, 1 month to 4 years, for a total of 12 points, in care with the vendor. The records sample size consisted of 3 newly enrolled children?s records and 2 vendor household member records. The additional children's records and the vendor / Assistant / Household members? records were recently reviewed at the time of the last inspection on 12/10/18 and are current. Children were observed resting quietly on mats at nap time, playing with a variety of toys and playing outdoors. The infant in care was held, talked to and rocked and briefly rested in a crib during the inspection. Restroom procedures, hand washing, and diapering were also observed today. The vendor states that no medication is administered to children in care at this time. Requirements for transportation were reviewed with the vendor - but transportation was not observed during the inspection. Children play outdoors in the front lawn with direct supervision and close proximity of the provider. The provider reports that there have been no accidents or injuries requiring first aid or medical treatment incurred by children in care since the last inspection and that there are no children currently enrolled who have diagnosed food allergies. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. Thank you for your time during today's inspection.
