Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted May 30 2019 between 7:30am and 9:15am. There were 7 children in the direct care of the provider and two assistants. Children were observed in bounce chairs, playing with trucks, working on toy table, and being fed bottles. The home is clean, organized, and offers age-appropriate materials for the children in care. Areas of non-compliance is listed on the violation notice. If you have any questions regarding this inspection please contact me at 703-554-4995 or at derek.acosta@dss.virginia.gov

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-C
Description: Based on observation, the family day home did not maintain documentation of the emergency evacuation and shelter-in-place drills. Evidence: The provider stated that drills had been conducted, but the paperwork was unavailable at the time of inspection

Plan of Correction: Paperwork is normally posted on the wall. The paperwork fell and could not be located. When found, I will place it back on the wall.
