An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from approximately 10:50am to 12:00pm. 11 children (37pts) were present with 3 caregivers. The physical space, 3 children's records, caregiver records, attendance, evacuation drills, pet records and required posted documents were reviewed. No medications were on site. Children were observed eating lunch (homemade chicken soup) and preparing for rest time. Interactions between caregivers and children were positive. The space was clean and well organized with an abundance of age appropriate materials. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-A Description: Based on record review, and interview with the Provider, emergency evacuation procedures were not practiced monthly. Evidence: The Provider had record of all emergency evacuation procedures except for the month of May 2019. Plan of Correction: I will do one today to make up for the May evacuation drill. I will keep up with them in the future.
