06/06/2019 Arrived 10:15am Departed 1:00pm An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. Twelve children were in care for a total of 20 points with one caregiver. The children were playing outdoors, playing with toys. Eighteen children's files and two staff files were reviewed. **Not all areas of the key health and safety standards could be reviewed because the caregiver was unable to gather the items while supervising the children outdoors. Thank you for your cooperation. Please contact me if I may be of service. 276 608 3749

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-570-A
Description: Based on observation the provider failed to insure that the points requirement (16 per caregiver) was not exceeded. Evidence: 1. Upon arrival, there were 11 children in care for a total of 21 points with one caregiver. 2. At 11:30am child #15 left, leaving 10 children and a total of 19 points with one caregiver. 3. At 11:40am child #19 & 20 arrived. Twelve children are present for a total of 20 points with one caregiver.

Plan of Correction: The helper had an emergency and left. He came back just as soon as he could. I'm going to talk with another lady about being a substitute for me when something like that happens.

A compliance history is in no way a rating for a facility.

The online compliance history includes only information after July 1, 2003. In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.

Virginia Quality is a voluntary quality rating and improvement system for early care and education facilities serving children ages birth through pre-K. Eligible child care facilities must be fully licensed, licensed exempt and a VDSS subsidy vendor, or a voluntary registered day home and a VDSS subsidy vendor. Only programs enrolled in Virginia Quality will display a rating. Virginia Quality contact information for your region is available at the following link Regional Contacts.
