An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from approximately 10:45am-12pm. There were 2 children(5points) in the direct care and supervision of 1 caregiver. A sample of 1 child?s record, 2caregiver's records and one household member's record were reviewed. The children were observed playing with toys and preparing for lunch. The facility plans to close for a week in July for vacation. Zero new caregivers have been hired since the last inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-760-A-1 Description: Based on interview and observation, the first aid kit was missing required contents. Evidence: 1. The first aid kit was missing 2 of 2 required triangle bandages. 2. Caregiver A stated that she did not have them. Plan of Correction: I will cut a piece of fabric in half to make the bandages.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-780-B Description: Based on record review, the provider did not annually review with the parent the emergency contact information to ensure the information is correct. Evidence: The file of Child A was last reviewed 04/01/2018. Plan of Correction: The parent will do it today when she picks up the child.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-800-B Description: Based on observation, the emergency plan was not reviewed at least annually. Evidence: The emergency plan was last reviewed 06/05/2018. Plan of Correction: I will review it today.
