Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed on 7/2/19. There were 11 children in care from 22 months through five years with the provider and two assistants supervising. The point total was 21. One newly enrolled child's record was reviewed and four other children's records were reviewed for annual updates. The provider's record and one assistant's record were reviewed. The provider does not administer medications. The inspector arrived at the provider's home at 1:30 pm and departed at 4:00 pm. The children were observed during rest time, during afternoon snack, during departures, and during free play time inside. There was discussion with the provider about the following: wood burning fireplace being permanently closed, one assistant's first aid and CPR expiration, allergy of a child in care, Virginia pre-service three hour training update.
