Technical Assistance was offered regarding background checks.
- Comments:

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted from 11:05am to 1:00pm. There were 4 day care children and 1 resident child(8 points) in care of 2 caregivers. The children were observed playing outside, washing hands and watching an age appropriate tv show. 4 children's records, 2 caregiver's records and three household member records were reviewed. Emergency drill records were also reviewed. There were no medications on site. Areas of non compliance are listed in the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-800-B Description: Based on record review, the provider did not review the emergency plan annually. Evidence: The emergency plan for the family day home was last updated in February 2018. Plan of Correction: The plan will be updated.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-A Description: Based on record review, emergency evacuation procedures were not practiced monthly. Evidence: An evacuation drill was not practiced for the month of June 2019. The most recent evacuation drill was practiced in May 2019. Plan of Correction: We will do a make up drill in July.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B Description: Based on record review, children's records were not contain complete information. Evidence: Child # 1's record was missing the address for one emergency contact, and information for the second emergency contact. Plan of Correction: I will request the information from the parents.
