A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on July 17, 2019) to review supplemental health and safety requirements. This on-site visit was conducted from 11:00 a.m. through 12:45 p.m. There were twelve children in the care of the provider and two assistants for a total of twenty-eight points. No medication is being administered at this family day home. Five children's records and the records for the provider and three assistants were reviewed and updated. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. Areas observed were: free choice, art/playdough activity, music/song, hand washing/bathroom and diapering procedures, outside play, infant feeding, lunch preparation, and lunch. Interactions between the children and staff were observed as positive and the children seem comfortable with their daily routine and schedule.
