Complaint # 51520 :An unannounced joint investigation was conducted this afternoon from 12:30 - 1:45 pm. Three children were in care for 9 points. Based on available information, there was not a preponderance of information to determine that the complaint was valid. (646.6, 630 A.) However, during the inspection, another standard was found to be in violation. (1020 I). A violation notice was issued for the provider regarding nighttime care. Children should be sleeping on the same level of the home as where the provider is, and the provider wrote a plan of correction for this. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-1020-A Complaint related: No Description: Based on staff confirmation, not all standards had been followed during evening care. Evidence: The provider and Child # 1 reported that the provider has been sleeping on another level of the home during evening care, usually the main floor while children are sleeping in the basement. Plan of Correction: I will sleep on the level in the basement with the children when they are here for the night to sleep.
