Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed today. The physical plant, 2 caregiver/household member files, 5 children's files, caregiver training, child nutrition, children's activities, emergency procedures, drills and supplies were inspected between 1:15-2:15pm. There were 12 children, totaling 28 points, under the supervision of 2 caregivers. Today, the children enjoyed free play outside with games, activites and bubbles, ate lunch and rested during nap time. The interactions between the children and caregiver was seen to be positive and constructive in nature. The Provider was part of the Mixed Delivery Pre-School Pilot Program through Fairfax County Department of Family Services. This ended in June. She is now part of the Virginia Quality Program. Today, the children were served tofu stir-fry with cabbage, apple and milk. The Provider is certified in MAT (medication administration training), CPR and First Aid. However, there are no children with any medication needs at this time. Should you have any questions, please contact me at mary.wizbicki@dss.virginia.gov.
