Technical Assistance:
Licensing inspector discussed toddler tents, potty's, capacity, ages of children in care, evening and weekend care, CPS searches and Child Abuse and Neglect training with the Provider.

Comments:
An announced initial inspection was conducted today from approximately 10am-12:10pm. There were 0 children in the direct care and supervision of 1 caregiver. The entire house was observed, areas of direct and indirect child care were observed, potential children's files were reviewed, emergency supplies were reviewed and household member and caregiver files were reviewed. The Provider plans to advertise her business to gain clients. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. The exit interview was conducted with the provider. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-760-A-1
Description: Based on observation, the first aid kit was missing required contents. Evidence: 2 of 2 required triangle bandages were not included in the first aid kit.

Plan of Correction: I will cut a piece of fabric into triangle bandages right now. Completed during inspection.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-940-B
Description: Based on observation, the provider did not have an operable thermometer available to monitor refrigerator and freezer compartment temperatures. Evidence: There was no thermometer in the refrigerator and freezer compartments.

Plan of Correction: I will go purchase them today.
