An unannounced Renewal inspection was conducted this date. A total of 7 children in care with Provider and 1 Assistant. When the Inspector arrived, the children were playing with each other and the toys available to them. Positive interaction was observed between staff and children. Walk through of home conducted, a total of 9 children's records, all staff and household records were reviewed. No medication needs at this time for the children currently in care. Previous violations from the February inspection were reviewed and corrective actions were verified. This inspection began at approximately 10am and ended at 12:50pm. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-90-C Description: Based on child record review, updated immunizations were not obtained. Evidence: Child #3 is under the age of 2 years, last documented immunizations is dated 12/5/18. Child #5 is under the age of 2 years, last documented immunizations is dated 10/2018. Plan of Correction: I will request the updated immunizations from both of these parents.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-240-A Description: Based on observation of the outside play area, one area of the outside was not maintained in a safe condition. Evidence: One of the fence planks located behind the swing set is not attached to the fencing, and presents a hazard to the children in care. Plan of Correction: We will repair this one plank before the children are permitted outside to play.
