Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on August 6, 2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. This on-site visit was conducted from 11:30 a.m. through 1:30 p.m. There were nine children and one resident child in the care of the provider and one assistant for a total of twenty-two points. Five children's records and the records for the provider, one household member and two assistants were reviewed and updated. No medication is being administered at this time. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. Areas observed were: movement/music, hand washing/diapering procedures, free choice activity, and nap. Interactions between the children and provider were observed as positive and the children seem comfortable with their daily routine and schedule. Please contact me at 540-430-9256 if you have any questions and/or if I may be of assistance with licensing standards.
