Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 10:15 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. There were 6 children in care with the provider and assistant, ages 8 months, 13 months, 2 years, 3 years, 3 years, and 3 years for a total of 16 points. The children were observed participating in free play. Lunch served today is grilled cheese on whole wheat bread, french fries, blackberries, and milk. Six children's records were reviewed and in compliance. The provider and one assistant records were reviewed and in compliance. There are reportedly no medications being administered to children in the family day home at this time. The most recent emergency escape drill was conducted 07/17/2019 and the most recent shelter in place drill was conducted 07/15/2019. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-900-B
Description: Based on interview and observation of a crib it was determined that children were not permitted from drinking while lying down. Evidence: Child A (d.o.b: 11/29/2018) was observed in a crib with their bottle.

Plan of Correction: The provider will not allow bottles to be given to children while lying down.
