Reminder: Annual training requirements include 16 hours for all caregivers, prior to the expiration date on the license. Also prior to use, for future enrollment of infants, check manufacturer's dates on all cribs in storage.
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from approximately 10:30am to 12:05pm. 5 children (9 pts) were directly supervised by 2 caregivers. The physical space, caregiver records, 2 children's records, attendance, evacuation drills and the emergency preparedness plan were reviewed. No medications were on site. Vaccinations for the pet expire 12/1/2019. Children were observed coming back from a walk with the assistant, washing hands and eating lunches brought from home. The space was well organized with an abundant supply of age appropriate materials and activities. Areas of non-compliance are identified in theViolation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-180-A Description: Based on review of records, the Provider did not obtain subsequent tuberculosis screenings for each caregiver. Evidence: The Provider's TB test expired 09/28/2018. Plan of Correction: (The Provider called to make an appoint while the LI was present.) I will get the test done today and email the results.
