Remember to have another shelter-in-place drill before the end of this year. Reminder the licensee's tuberculosis screening will expire this month.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 8:00am through 9:30am. There were nine children in care with the licensee and one assistant. Children in care ranged in age from 18 months to five years old. Total points present equaled 17. Children, household, provider and assistant records were reviewed. The licensee reports that there is not any medication being administered to children in care. Furthermore, the provider reports that children in care not transported by family day home. Children were observed in provider and self-directed activities including block play, transitions, hand washing, restroom routines, breakfast and circle time. Emergency evacuation drills, required postings, diaper changing, outside play area and three rooms used for child care were reviewed. There were not any violations identified during the inspection.
